The Last Reef 3D Explore underwater habitats bursting with diverse and colorful sea life (3D movie screenings included with museum admission)
Tortoise, turtle or sea turtle – what is the difference?
Where they live is key: Tortoises spend their lives on land, turtles spend some time in the water, and sea turtles only come on land to lay eggs. But that’s just one of many differences! Who can’t tuck into its shell? Who eats mostly plants? Who has “elephant feet"? Visit the Science Mill blog for more fun facts from our staff biologist.
Meet the Mill’s African spurred tortoises at a weekend feeding (Saturdays and Sundays at 2:15pm; check with front desk or call 844-263-6405 to confirm). And watch their adorable hatchlings on the live Tortoise Cam!
Military Discount Thanks to the support of Whataburger, the Science Mill is offering half-price admission to any active or retired military service member and up to three family members (with valid ID). Through April 30, each visitor who uses the military discount will also receive a coupon for a free Whataburger.
