I am always searching for a better way to scrape my car in the winter. Anyone who knows me knows I am not a lover of the cold, that snow and ice make me cranky. Thus, scraping ice off my car in the frigid morning, starts the day off WRONG.
Also most scrapers are crap. I have had one in the last 10 years that i didn’t have to practically beat against my windows to make work correctly. I really don’t like the long ones, I can’t get enough force behind them to scrape the middle of my front windshield on my big SUV. While I tend to love the little ones, they don’t really have anything to help me break up thicker ice on my car.
Thus, when i was contacted about the opportunity to try out the Scrape around I was super excited to, hopefully, find something that worked like a charm.
I have to admit that when I first received this product I was a little worried about the quality. I was expecting a heavy, sturdy plastic like the handles of other scrapers. The Scrape around is very light and pliable. Upon further investigation though I found that this is part of the design. The softer plastic helps it to better conform to the window.
Also, you get three Scrape Arounds, in different sizes and colors with your order!
The bottom part of the scraper looks like a funnel with a topper that is for rubbing against tough ice to break it up.

Looks super awesome right? The first time I was given the chance to use this product it was extremely cold (high of 5 degrees Fahrenheit) and the ice on my windows was pretty thick. I used the scratchy side to try to break up the ice and then turned it around to use the cup side. The ice was simply too thick for the scrape around. I had to break out the old scraper to get the job done. However, the ice breaker on the Scrape Around was key to making my job easier!
The next opportunity to use this little tool was quite a bit warmer, around 20 degrees and the ice was thick but not as hard as glass! The scrape around worked like a charm! I loved how quickly I cleared by entire car!

One of my favorite things about this product, is I don’t feel like I’m going to smash through my window, or scratch it up, with an intense, sharp and heavy scraper! Also, it never makes that awful “nails on chalkboard” sound that I get when using traditional scrapers.
